I just think it doesn't nessesarily require killing your enemy to make you feel justice've been served.

When you can trust the whole juristic system, when you can believe the bad guys will not be able to harm another person, maybe you can let go. Forgive or not, you'll be free.

That's how I feel about my uncle's murderer.

Obviously when you're not secure, feel like your demand of a proper punishment been dismissed, or by not executing the bad guys you will leave the society vulnerable, you'll surely seek a death sentence to seal the deal once and for good.
