马端临的《文献通考》卷一百十五·王礼考十记载，“汉初节旄纯赤，武帝以卫太子持赤节，乃更节加黄旄。”

老大， 节旄纯赤，旄这里有没有指代旗帜的意思。武帝在卫太子时期加黄旄，有没有影响到军旗。

这个地方，未免太巧合。西方人如果没见过，编不出 “brilliant in color, embroidered with gold. Shining like fire”来的。
