这本书对于教导怎么用英文写好文章非常有帮助。很多作者的观点和楼主的一致。尤其是写文章要清楚，表达意思要清晰明了，尽量不用复杂句式这一点。比如以下两个例子：

a. The Committee proposal would provide for biogenetic industry certification of the safety to human health for new substances in requests for exemption from Federal rules.

b. The Committee proposes that when the biogenetic industry requests the Agency to exempt new substances from Federal rules, the industry will certify that the substances are safe.

尽管a和b两个句子表达了相同的意思，但很明显a读起来很拗口而b就显得很顺畅，一看就能明白。
