your concern about some negative long term trend in America is right. My friend and I know it for long time. Given that history is never linear, all these fiscal problems will be slowly solved through inflation and tech changes.
It is okay if your one specific prediction is wrong. Spend more time in America and you will know that nation well. Knowledge accumulation takes time. As I said, Democrats will compromise(1st stage involves lots of cuts) and tax code reform will come (2nd stage, through the wisemen committee). Do not underestimate American elites.
