这曲子倒是值得写几笔了， 40年代上海滩上的流行歌曲，首唱为姚莉， 是当时的银嗓子，排名仅次于金嗓子周旋，词作者吴村，曲作者陈歌辛，那可是个大名鼎鼎的人物了，《蔷薇处处开》，《夜上海》等得作曲者， 其公子陈钢也是后来《梁祝》的曲作者之一。而这首歌本身则更为传奇， 因为它最后流传到了美国，由彼时的著名爵士歌手Frankie Laine唱红， 在1951年竟然上了Bill Board的第一名。
