我的论断是，中国（政府或者国有单位）还在（以最终持有人身份）疯狂买入美债。括号里是根据上下文未言即明的信息。该论断发文时间是2023年8月份。
你现在沉浸于你的信息来源不可自拔。你认为你从ticdata.treasury.gov得到的数据即是验证上面信息的唯一来源，这个是不对的。有两个原因：
1 这个网站信息有滞后性，你现在看不到8月份数据。所以你无法反证我的【论断不成立】
2 这个网站信息更大可能反映的是中介信息而不是最终持有人信息。我在【原创】Cayman Islands世界第八，你不觉得诡异？帖中就说了，一个鼻屎国作为最终持有人有那么多美国国债是不符合常理的。
另：我不需要【和美国财政部去辩】，你提供的网页链接，人家自己明明写着呢：
The data in this table are collected primarily from U.S.-based custodians and broker-dealers. Since U.S. securities held in overseas custody accounts may not be attributed to the actual owners, the data may not provide a precise accounting of individual country ownership of Treasury securities
假如中国政府通过设在美国的某中介金融机构购买美国国债，表中计算为中国持有。但是假如中国政府通过设在英国的某中介金融机构购买美国国债，表中计算为英国持有。而中国有无数理由通过美国本土外的中介购买美国国债。以俄罗斯为例，如果直接在美国金融机构购买美国国债，现在已经被美国冻结了。假如它通过某岛金融机构购买美国国债，现在还是自己的资产，因为美国不能冻结某岛金融机构的账户。美国因为避税的原因曾经勒令一些国家的银行向其公开美国公民的存款数据，但是国债数据至少到目前我还没听说有类似做法。
美国财政部官网更详细的说明部分节选如下：
For example, if a U.S. Treasury security purchased by a foreign resident is held in a custodial account in a third country, the true country of ownership of the security will not be reflected in the data. The custodial data will also not properly attribute U.S. Treasury securities managed by foreign private portfolio managers who invest on behalf of residents of other countries.

For example, when a U.S. resident purchases Japanese securities and the transaction is executed by a financial intermediary in London, the purchase of foreign securities is recorded against the United Kingdom rather than Japan.
