I remember there were 3 types of monitors for photo editing, sonictron, trinitron and diamondtron. I guess mitsubishi used diamondtron. But based on my experience, sonictron and trinitron are also very good, expecially, P series from Viewsonic and Sony. Before this year, I always used them to process my photos since the color space is pretty good. There should be a lot of used Sony/ViewSonic P monitors in the market, I guess. It's very likely to get a good deal.
