Developing software with Mac OS X
Your copy of Mac OS X may include the Xcode Developer Tools CD. You use this CD to install Xcode, the new Mac OS X integrated development environment. Xcode provides the tools and SDKs you need to develop platform-independent applications and other software on Mac OS X.
If you are interested in developing software using Xcode, install the software on the developer tools CD. For help using the developer tools, see the Xcode developer documentation installed with the software. You can access help in an open Xcode tools by choosing a command from the Help menu. With the Help Viewer open, you can choose Library > Developer Help Center.
For more information about developing Mac OS X software, visit the Apple Developer Connection website.
