AUSTRALIAN Paralympic swimmer Annabelle Williams has landed a part in the next Mad Max film, Mad Max, Fury Road, in the unlikely role of double for Charlize Theron.

Williams, who won silver in the S9 women's 50-metres freestyle on Tuesday night, has part of her left arm missing, and so it happens that the Theron character, too, will be sans part of her arm in this fourth part of George Miller's Mad Max series.

Williams noted that she was Theron's ''stunt double'', rather than a body double.
