I was debating between Droid X and Samsung Fascinate, so I stopped by a Bestbuy for field trial on both. Just a 10-min play, Samsung was crossed off from my list!
The only thing Samsung is probably better is its AMOLED screen, for more vivid color (but not necessarily real). Fascinate's network speed is significantly slower than Droid X's when playing with YouTube. Yes, it even died a few times playing back video, especially when I switched resolution. Googled reviews cited the same observation! This is the deal killer!
While Samsung's dumb cell phones are pretty good, looks like smartphone is still something new & Samsung is still on the learning curve.
