Yang Liu Yang对流产的要求最初被当地法院否决，但最终高院（Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court ）同意流产要求并通知当地部门为此提供医疗准备。 但Yang Liu Yang最后改变主意，离开医院,称没有足够心理准备。

Meanwhile, Yang Liu gave quite a few sleepless nights to the jail authorities in Bahraich by declaring that she was pregnant and did not wish to keep the child. Her demand to abort the baby was rejected by the local court. However, the Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court yielded to the request and issued direction for ensuring proper arrangements for medical termination of her pregnancy. Liu however had a change of heart at the nick of time and she walked away from the hospital claiming that she was not mentally prepared. Subsequently all three of them were shifted to Lucknow jail.
