You will never understand the US job mystery until you understand the priorities of US corporate executives:
1. Their own job security, lavish salary, bonus and stock options
2. Wall street investor’s insatiable greed
3. Customers’ endless demands for better/cheaper products

They could easily sacrifice the interests of employees if there is any conflict with their top3 priorities.
On the other hand, it seems that Germen corporate executives have different priorities
