家园 最近看到的消息说，ubuntu已经开始执linux桌面应用的牛耳了 家园 刚刚安装了Ubuntu，但是怎么安装ocaml 啊？ 听说源里面有～～～请指教一下

家园 我还真不太清楚这个东东。。。 如果synaptic里有，可以直接安装，把所有源都打开看看。没有可以去外链出处下载，不想自己编译的话，有Debian的安装包。主要也就是依赖TK/Tcl8.4。

这个链接我当然知道，可能老大没有仔细看，deb版安装不是只提供了一个文件，而是有层层依赖，每个文件都需要单独下载和安装，烦死我了，所以才上来请教的。
人家FC的RPM虽然名声不太好，对OCAML倒是一个包就解决问题啊，郁闷。。。
家园 其次。。。 deb版安装不是只提供了一个文件，而是有层层依赖，每个文件都需要单独下载和安装，烦死我了。。。Debian的apt容易让人变懒，但是如果理解了它的哲学，会发现一切其实都是合理的。比如你需要的ocaml，如果自己编译，只需要几个命令：
sudo apt-get install build-essential
安装基本编译包
sudo apt-get build-dep ocaml
会告诉你ocaml详细的依赖关系，你需要做的只是下载。
接下来就是看源码包里的具体安装步骤，无非就是./configure、make、make install等。其实比rpm满世界的找库文件简单太多了。

我有一个小疑问，apt-get是很方便，可是如果连名字都不知道该怎么办？就像这个ocaml。
家园 synaptic就是鼎鼎有名的“新立得软件包管理器“ 起源于Debian，实际上就是dpkg命令的图形化前端，或者说是前端软件套件管理工具。与之类似的工具有很多：终端上有dselect、feta、aptitude、wajig等；KDE上有Kpackage、adept等；gnome上有gnome－apt、red carpet、stormpkg以及synaptic。最成功也最方便的当然就是GTK2的synaptic和QT的adept。gnome下的软件安装完全可以不用apt，新立得可以完成所有的工作。不过这个中文名太土了，很像某种生发灵。
题外话：有人说Linux不普及在于起名不好

家园 在安装的时候能像redhat那样自动把fat32分区mount上吗？ 新学着用linux，redhat9到还方便，可是我的本本上的网卡、显卡、声卡统统不认，支持intel的显卡驱动最新到850，而我的本本是950啊，我又不知道怎么手动去装，头痛ing
听说Ubuntu支持新硬件很好，但不知道支持中文好不好，很想试一把，心动中……
