早在1996年,Micropayments的先锋之一，CyberCash Inc,主打产品电子钱包（用户下载客户端用于加密信用卡号码）和cybercoin（用户和商户通过cyber coin服务器支付和交换解码）,就上市了，股价当日上升79%，一度达到60几块。1999年股价落到10几块，2000年CyberCash没能通过千年虫。2001年破产，被verisign买了。
