主题：Ubuntu 8.04今日正式发布 -- chela

调一下显屏参数(display resolution)，比如"1280x1024" "1024x768" "800x600" "640x480"等等。有一回俺装ZenWalk就是这东西搞的。

好象在boot时有option的。

不用X-windows用console应该可以登陆吧，就是难修改点。问一下Ubuntu的community吧，可能有别的更好的办法。

以前用 Linux 的人少，所以也没什么黑客写针对它的病毒。现在针对 Linux 的病毒可不少。有些病毒并不影响 Linux 但可以通过网络影响到在同一网上的 Windows 机器。有些 Linux 装了 WINE 结果一样受 Windows 的病毒影响，只不过没那么厉害就是。

至于木马，恶意软件之类的，Linux 并不能免疫。最要命的是 Linux 的软件都是从网上下载的。虽说一般都有源文件，但一般用户谁会去读源文件，也读不懂。所以给你在里头按个什么你根本不知道。

Windows下的软件也大多是从网上下的吧？

另外，不知道为什么大多数人都有这种印象

Linux做服务器的太多了，黑客要攻克服务器岂不是更加有名又有利？归根结底，Linux系统本身的架构要比Windows合理，使得病毒木马偷偷绕过系统监视运行起来的可能小得多。

当然，Linux也不是完全无懈可击，这点必须承认。

选这个。平常选的那个desktop或者server什么的都是liveCD安装盘，安装得时候光盘引导直接加载一个镜像操作体系，然后让我们能一边装系统一边上网，但是如果你的显卡比较怪异，这种liveCD引导不起来根本没法装——这时候你就得下在alternate的了，因为它可以选text安装。

Ubuntu这样的开发速度和规模，不知道他们的商业运转模式是怎么样的？这样的好东西如果最后因为资金不济而死掉了还是很可惜的。我希望不是Mark Shuttleworth自己掏腰包在填窟窿...

Ubuntu includes only free and unencumbered applications, ensuring that users have the ability to share and modify their software.

The Ubuntu Foundation guarantees the viability of the project independently of the commercial activities of Canonical, and provides a legal vehicle for continued community direction in the project. The Advisory Board of the trust is chaired by Mark Shuttleworth and includes representation from the Ubuntu Community Council and the Ubuntu Technical Board.
