Seward, Alaska—July 22, 2009
Skittle, a six-month-old northern sea otter pup that had lived at the Alaska SeaLife Center since
his rescue last March, died early Wednesday morning after he removed part of a concrete and
steel drain cover in his habitat and was trapped in a wastewater pipe.
