.and the Republicans keep telling us it is good to trade with China and that we have to maintain 'our complex partnership'. When was it decided that China is no longer a threat? What happened to 'Containment'? We need tariffs and taxes. If an American wants to start a company abroad, cheat American workers out of a job and export our dollars into worthlessness, then they should be paying fees and taxes out the ass to make up for damaging this country and propping up our enemies. The Chinese are using our dollars primarily for MILITARY DEVELOPMENT, why are we allowing this? Its not our job to equalize the international playing field. It is time for some good old American protectionism, and by that I mean a major halt with Asian trade and a refocus on European trade and domestic development. I know Bush thinks that once we have Iraq we will have China's energy supply by the balls but it wont be so easy if we keep paying them to enhance their military capabilities. The United States has never been able to trust Red China, why should we start now? They are putting lead and GHB in our children's toys for gods sakes. Obviously they have no factory or emissions standards, and Bush is not holding them accountable for it. We need to buy "Made in the USA", period.
