有个问题向请教：

After install 5.3-RELEASE-i386-miniinst.iso, i want to compile and install X Window from the src distribution, instead of using "ports" system.

But an error appears when I compile X11:

/usr/X11R6/bin/fc-cache: No such file or directory

--------------------------

But I find fc-cache is in /usr/local/bin, which is probably installed by fontconfig package.

And there does not exist the folder X11R6 in /usr yet.

Anyone here has compiled X11 from the src? and any idea?

ports也可以从源码编译啊。

你目前这个问题可以通过建立一个软链接解决(ln -s)。但是我怀疑即便这个fontconfig的问题可以解决，如果不用ports，后面的编译也还会遇上别的类似问题。
